I’m usually happy about fridays but this one more so than others.. The week has been a write off. Lacking motivation, long work lunches and midweek drinking functions are never a good thing. To top it off they are cutting back on friday mufti days due to the clothing worn by some (I think I’m ok here, I keep my clothes on) and have introduced a uniform, luckily I like it. They have also introduced a new bonus structure… hmmmm I need to get organised so I can make money..

Wednesday night was spent at Pier 26 in Darling Harbour, it was a great night with a bunch of fantastic people.  Over the two days (function and lunch) I laughed so much I stopped breathing a few times. I got home about 1.30am, asleep around 2.30 and woke up with that churning feeling in my stomach at 6am.  My aim was to make it to work and that was achieved. However I was still much better than the broker that couldn’t walk or talk or remember where she lived.  She did manage to get to a friends place safely and suprisingly get to the work the next day.  Not sure she was a great example for the company (not my company!) but I guess most of us do that at some point. I think I’ve learn’t from mine. I also had a chat to the male friend who kept supplying her the wine…  The girl was sitting in the one spot all night and drinking non stop.. TIP.. when girls do that, they eventually stand and move around, it hits them hard and they fall!

Suffered from a headache today and received several comments that I was still suffering a hangover.. (NOT TRUE!!)

Alek has his semi finals for football tomorrow and luckily it’s not an early start. Still on the hunt for a new place to live….

J- Taking mum to dinner tomorrow night for her birthday, shame you can’t make it but if you like I can send you the bill so you feel a part of it all )

A – stop spying on me and freaking talk to me!.. Oh I do have a legal question… The w*nk at work seems to have chosen the local park at work to get it on with his mistress.. If by any chance I (or anyone else in the office) have a fight and refer to his cheating can he sue me for anything?

hahaha considering my last post this is hilarious.. what a tosser!  He may actually have a case with the privacy issue though..but.. what judge would be able to keep a straight face and not laugh this idiot out of court.

This is a topic that has been bothering me for some time..  Why is it that so many people seem to be having affairs.. or is it that they are just following me??

At my previous employer there was an affair happening within the office, he was married, she wasn’t.  The quiet phone calls, emails popping up on the screen “can i call you after work” were all signs… oh plus the constant touching as he passed her by in the office.  It made the office environment tense as most people knew but were too scared to say anything.. 

At my current employer there is a guy I work with that appears to be having an affair… the mushy talk and the “i love you darling” whilst someone else in the office calls out “your wife is on hold” kinda gives that one away.  He has also insisted on telling at least 3 different people in the office “i’m extremely faithful and love my wife” when the topic was not even brought up. Oh and hes been spotted with this other woman.

Then there’s another “friend” of mine.  He was the “other man” to a married woman he worked with.  He continued the relationship for almost 12 months before she decided to stay with her husband and children. He was left very hurt and felt he had wasted a lot of time with this woman… what was he expecting?

There’s another… An ex was in a relationship for 9 years and engaged to “the love of his life” when he received a phone call from a former work mate who had informed him she just received a call from the wife of the man his fiancee (did that make sense??) was involved with.  He left her a few months later but he has just advised me due to their “history” he wants to give it another go….  Was she thinking of their history whilst she was in bed with another man?? I think not..

I headed into the city knowing it was likely to be a big one.  It had been planned for a few weeks.  Met up with some of the guys I know through work and I have never laughed so hard in my life.  Being the only female in the group the conversation somehow quickly turned to porn, football and other male things.  After some of the things that were said I will never look at these guys the same way again.  They were kind enough to cover my ears at times when they thought the things said may offend me. How very thoughtful.  After a while some of us moved on to Darling Harbour with the intention of getting pizza and somehow ended up at Nicks Seafood. We were then going to be heading for the retro.. (after the stories I have heard and one persons threats of podium dancing I’m kinda glad we didnt make it there).

We then watched 5 hours or so of Little Britain.. I have heard of this show but nothing could prepare me for some of the sketches… but again I laughed and laughed and laughed….  I fell asleep for about an hour before waking up with my stomach churning…. thankfully, after a few hours of praying it settled down.. )

The scary thing is I have a drinks functions with these guys on Wednesday night.  hmmmm..

well… since my last post.. Alek has returned from America, I’ve had an operation, returned to my previous employer, had a pay rise, ummmm that might be it for now.

Alek enjoyed his time in America, he loves the fact he now has a huge extended family in America (from his fathers marriage). I received an email in my hotmail account titled “lost wallet” I almost deleted it thinking it was spam email.  But opened the email and found out Alek left his wallet behind in Wisconsin. I then checked with Alek if his wallet returned with him. He had no idea either.. Further correspondence with the family in Wisconsin revealed their children found the wallet, with the $50 still inside. I gave Alek a business card with my contact details on it. As even Alek knows if we convert the $50 into Aus dollars he will lose money so we decided to allow the children to keep the money.  We were thrilled someone not only found the wallet but tracked us down to return it to us at their expense.

I’ve had a laparoscopy and have been diagnosd with endometriosis.  It explains a few things and I am on some fairly radical treatment for someone of my age in order to reduce the endo and the side effects.  My doctor has high hopes for me long term but the next 6 months could be interesting.

 I’ve returned to my former employer in Miranda, same role as before but with half the work load, less stress and more money.. always a good thing, I am super busy at the moment but I love knowing what I am doing.

Should probably run and do something constructive…
